Lions Vision Productions is a family owned and operated business. In 2010, Founder LaTia McNeely-Sandiford, MSW, (born under the astrological sign, Leo), was the Director of St. Timothy's Boys residential group home, in Orange, NJ, when a tragic event changed her life and career. As a 20+ year veteran Social Worker, LaTia decided that her heart could no longer bear the emotional weight of Social Work, so she decided to retire. During the course of that journey, the artist in her steered her toward her other passion... Art. Subsequently, the real life events that ultimately lead to her retirement inspired LVP's first feature movie, The Brown House, currently in development.
Lions Vision Productions began as LaTia's 'Vision' to create, write, direct and produce 'media the matters'. Her desire was (and still is) to become a global media house that brings awareness to the Black experience by producing real stories, about real people, with real problems highlighting the disparity of Black families, culture and lives. Roger, LaTia's husband (a licensed contractor & electrician) and business partner, of close to TWO decades, also a Leo provided the necessary support, encouragement and finances she needed to bring her dreams to life.
In 2013, the company produced its first book, LaTia's memoir, Burden's in My Backpack, a book that told LaTia's heartbreaking, yet inspiring story of triumph over tragedy launching a nation wide book tour putting LaTia on various stages across America. Ultimately, it brought her back to her alma mater, Rutger's The State University of New Jersey, as its keynote speaker for their Annual Conference on Racial Disparity, in 2017.
Today, the powerhouse duo own and operate three independent companies: Lions Vision Productions Studios, Film, Media and Entertainment Studio, LVP Mission Media, a 501(c)3 Non-profit organization and RDS Maintenance, Repair and Remodel, a home improvement company. The two lions, have manifested their vision while driving their message, mission and movement forward, thus LIONS VISIONS PRODUCTIONS.
Lions Vision Productions studios has temporarily moved from 640 Route 22 East, Ste. #2, Hillside, New Jersey, 07205 while the building is under construction. For more information, feel free to call (908) 267-4463 or email us.
